Carolina Cybernetics Concepts and Electrical Oddities (C3EO) is a side project of Mitchell Sepaugh, C3EO’s CxO. It’s part professional development tinker-town and part hobby pastime. However, I have to admit that it is sometimes hard to tell where to separate those two categories.
C3EO is of course a nod to one of the first and most enduring characters I encountered in my lifelong fascination with science fiction, the fascinating, goldenrod, C-3PO of “human-cyborg relations.”

Of course, while the mnemonic nods to C-3PO, he and his best buddy in the galaxy, R2-D2 are the inseparable inspirations for my fascination with cybernetics and robotics and all of the related technologies that make them tick.
This site will grow in time as I try new things. I have some ideas on various technologies and how we use them that will appear in my blog. Topics include Artificial Intelligence (AI), Assistive Technology (AT), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) (AT, HMI, and HCI could also be interpreted as cyborg technology), Cybernetics, programming, IoT, IIoT, IT, systems integration, industrial controls, and automation to name a few.
There is even a whole section devoted to eXtended Reality (XR) and everything that makes it tick – Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR) – and why.
Content will not always be posted on a set schedule, but hopefully, you will check in from time to time and keep in touch.
May the Force be with you as you live long, and prosper.
Excelsior!
Mitch
We keep moving forward,
opening new doors, and doing new things because we’re curious
and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.
